Our staff are adults who resource our Youth Planning Team to bring a faith-filled fun conference.

John Mark Solomon - Director

John Mark has been involved with youth ministry and music in local churches and conferences for over 30 years. He is a 5th generation Presbyterian PK, a native Texan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a graduate of Austin College and OU. John Mark lives in Wylie with his wife Lynette who is a Presbyterian minister and Hospital Chaplain at Baylor Scott and White. They have two adult children Luke (28) and Kay (24).

Sandy Barber - Assistant Director

Sandy Barber has been involved in youth ministry for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Austin College and an elder at First Presbyterian of Bonham, Texas. She is the Executive Director of the Fannin County Children's Center, which is a nonprofit that serves children recovering from abuse and neglect. She married her college sweetheart Bill and is the proud mother of three girls, Jessica, Katie and Cassidy.

Emma Rooney - Recreation Coordinator

Emma Rooney has been apart of the Presbyterian church for as long as she can remember! Participating in the church choir, youth group, SHYC, PULSE, SYNOD, you name it and she was there. She graduated from Austin College spring of 2021 with her BA in Public Health and is currently pursing her Masters in Public Health at TWU. She looks forward to returning to SYNOD as the Rec Coordinator and doing some awesome energizers!
